ArcGIS Pro is a desktop GIS application that supports data sharing across all the ArcGIS products such as ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise. It enables users to work across the ArcGIS system through the web GIS. The application has the potential to carryout scientific analysis across 2D, 3D and 4D data for trend analysis, projections and research.

Installation
Installation media for ArcMap and Pro are at:

For ArcGIS Pro, see folder “ArcGIS Pro 3.1 (latest version)”
The only required file is “ArcGISPro_31_184994.exe”. You may also need the “dotnet…” file if you receive a message regarding a Microsoft .NET update
- Download the file and run the extension.
- Click “Next”.
- Click “Close”.
- The windows will prepare to install for the installation process. The setup will pop-up.
- Click “Next”.
- Click “Next”.
- Click “I accept the master agreement”.
- Click “Next”.
- Click “Next”.
- Click “Install” The device will ask permission to run the application, so click “Yes”.
- Click “Finish”.
The software will be installed now, find it by browsing the Start menu. See below for licensing information
Licensing
- First step to license ArcGIS Pro is to have and ArcGIS Online account. If a user do not have an account of a first time user can follow the “Instructions to access ArcGIS Online” in the ArcGIS Online page.
- Next, open the ArcGIS pro application in your device. ArcGIS Sign In will pop up. Select “ArcGIS Organization URL”.
- Next, Enter the organization URL “uw-mad”.
- Next, Select the option “UW NetID LogIN”.
- Finally, Login using your NetID and password.
