A foundational program for GIS professionals to create, analyze, manage, and share geographic information so decision-makers can make intelligent, informed decisions. It allows you to create maps, perform spatial analysis, and manage data. This has been the major software product from ESRI for many years, now starting to be eclipsed by ArcGIS Pro (below)

It supports data sharing across a suite of ArcGIS products such as ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise, and enables users to work across platforms through Web GIS.
ArcGIS Online (AGOL)

ESRI Business Analyst
A location based market intelligence application that allows you to take data-driven approach to validate preference for a location with valid justification and analysis. For installation by faculty, staff or students at the UW-Madison, the installation media for the latest versions of ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap) and ArcGIS Pro are available in a NetID-restricted Box folder.
Our license allows installation on UW-Owned AND personal computers, though we ask Staff and Faculty only install if they are in a Department participating in the annual maintenance.
Licenses expire July 31 each year, and should be requested through your Departmental ESRI license coordinator. Students can request them by emailing email@example.com
