ArcMap is being retired by Esri. ArcGIS has evolved into a modern suite of apps – ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Field Maps, ArcGIS Story Maps, ArcGIS Dashboards, ArcGIS Pro, and many others. Esri has recommended in recent years transitioning to Modern GIS workflows. If you haven’t yet, it is urgent that you and your colleagues do so now. UW-Madison has a limited number of ArcMap licenses for the 2023-24 academic year, but licenses will not be included in our academic license agreement after June 2024.
