Virginia Tech University Libraries is searching for a full-time Geospatial Data Curator.
The chosen candidate’s duties will include supporting Virginia Tech researchers through the archiving and sharing of geospatial data, and providing training, guidance and consultative assistance with geospatial applications and spatial analysis. This crucial role in our geospatial community connects faculty, staff, and students to the geospatial data resources they need. The chosen candidate will report through a forward-looking Data Management and Curation Services department within our state of the art Library system, which has excellent established relationships with academic departments that employ geospatial technologies, can leverage the resources and expertise of our Enterprise GIS division to help solve complex problems, and serves as a trusted honest broker connecting researchers across the university to one another.
